Canaries on the Go

Canaries, known for their delicate nature, require extra care while traveling. A small, hard-sided carrier with proper ventilation is the best choice for transporting canaries. Ensure the carrier has soft bedding on the bottom to reduce the impact of bumps and turns during the trip. Canaries can become easily stressed, so keep their environment as calm as possible. Place a lightweight cover over the carrier to shield them from bright lights or sudden movements. Food and water should be accessible, but ensure the containers are spill-proof to avoid any mess. If traveling for more than a few hours, allow your canary time to stretch its wings in a safe, controlled environment during breaks. Keeping the carrier in a stable, well-ventilated part of the car or cabin will also help reduce stress.
